Long Distance, So Close

Who knew hell was constantly 68 degrees. 105,120 hours he’d spent in the same building. Twelve years of incarceration. But 1,825 of those hours were bliss. He met her through an ad in the newspaper and together they spent $12,181 on collect calls. She calmed his nerves and listened to him. Most importantly, she forgave him for what he did so long ago. On the day of his release, they met in person. She was nothing like she had described herself. Her flowing blonde hair and large breasts were replaced by bushy eyebrows, and a penis. To him, she was perfect.
