The photon commenced its journey when the universe was only millions of years old; it has been traveling for billions of years at the same speed. It has witnessed countless civilisations rise and fall. It has seen unimaginable worlds of fire and ice. The light ends its journey in the sparkle of my eyes as I gaze upon the night sky.
